The Portland International Airport Remodel was built on relationships and the desire to create a bond between the airport, passengers, and the vibrant landscape folks travel here to connect with. The roof was designed and built with materials supplied by 40 Oregon and Washington landowners, mills, and fabricators, including fiber from the Yakama Nation: Confederated Bands and Tribes, Skokomish Indian Tribe, and Coquille Indian Tribe. The wood used in the new roof can be traced back to the forests and specific stewardship activities that produced it.
